About Coach Crowe

James Crowe is currently the Head Cross Country Coach at Clayton High School. James came to CHS after 15 years as the head cross country coach, and 13 years as assistant track coach, at University City High School. During his coaching tenure, University City twice won state, and numerous district, track and field championships.

Coach Crowe also spent one year as an assistant track coach at Fontbonne University. An alumnus of Truman State University, Coach Crowe competed for four years as a member of the college’s cross country and track teams. He has a Masters of Arts degree from Greenville College with an emphasis on coaching, and is certified by the United States Track and Field Association as a level two coach, specialty endurance.
